Cait Frizzell is an accidentally-educational content creator and opera singer best known for her YouTube channel, Scores Unstitched, where she pulls opera into the 21st century for millennial and Gen Z audiences, kicking and screaming (the opera, not the audiences). Her content focuses on Western classical singing, with particular emphasis on operatic and choral repertoire, but really any kind of singing is fair game, as long as there are--say it with us--no mics.
Beyond explaining the myriad of stunning sounds created by composers and musicians throughout the long history of the world BM (Before Microphones), Cait is also dedicated to preserving the emotional, communal, and instrinsicly human elements of historic music practices in a world increasingly shaped by algorithms and disposable entertainment culture.
Cait holds a Master's degree in Operatic Performance from the Royal College of Music in London and, after a vocal injury forced her to retire early from her career performing onstage, has pivoted to something she enjoys even more: performing online.
